DESCRIPTION:Oregon’s Largest BMW Festival! \nThe 14th-annual BMW Northwest MotorFest presented by the Oregon/SW Washington Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America. Once again the MotorFest will be held on a stunning\, tree-lined lawn of a 20-acre private residence in Silverton\, Oregon. MotorFest14 is open to all BMW owners\, club members and non-members alike. \n\nSerendipity Center is this years organization that we are raising funds for.  These fund come from registration\, donations sponsors and raffle ticket sales. \nThis year’s featured car is the e39 model: 5-series cars from 1997 to 2003. \nSpecial Guest from National BMWCCA: National Treasurer and Regional Vice President. \n\nPack your coolers with your favorite food and beverage for the bring-your-own-picnic-style (BYOP) format\, grab your lawn chairs & picnic blankets\, and settle into the MotorFest vibe\, as you reconnect with friends old and new and admire the amazing collection of BMWs\, from classic to contemporary. DESCRIPTION:Please Register Here \n*Please note: This drive is open to current BMW CCA members ONLY & will have a limit of 16 cars.\n\nHave you ever wanted to visit Germany\, but the grueling flight and jet lag got you down? Well now you can experience small town Germany by driving to it! That’s right! We are going to visit the most Bavarian of towns\, Leavenworth\, Washington. The Alpine style buildings in the Cascade Mountains are right on the Cascade Scenic Byway www.cascadeloop.com \nFor maximum scenic driving enjoyment\, we will leave Friday morning from Ilani Casino for Monroe. We will leave the I-5 freeway for Mossyrock and avoid Tacoma and Seattle entirely. Turning east from Monroe we will travel the Cascade Loop from Skykomish to Leavenworth. \nWe will have a group dinner in Leavenworth Friday night. This is a no-host dinner (note: attendees pay for their own food and beverages). \nSaturday is for independent wanderlust\, but here are some ideas (In the months ahead we can form groups.): \n\nHave brunch and walk the town and shop in Leavenworth.\nGo wine tasting. Opportunities are everywhere.\nVisit the Nutcracker Museum or the Leavenworth Museum.\nGo on a spectacular hike:\n\nColchuck Lake: www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/colchuck-lake\nIcicle Ridge: www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/icicle-ridge-1\n\n\nZipline and visit Lake Wenatchee: www.leavenworthziplines.com/\nContinue Cascade Loop with drive to Lake Chelan (1hr drive) and have lunch at Campbells or Crosswinds:\n\nCampbells www.campbellsresort.com/dining/\nCrosswinds www.colvillecasinos.com/lake_chelan_dining/crosswinds-restaurant/\n\n\nSunset at Peshastin Pinnacles 15 min drive from Leavenworth: www.parks.wa.gov/565/Peshastin-Pinnacles\nVisit Grand Coulee Dam (2 hr drive). Guided tours are 1hr starting at the visitor center. Book ahead.\nwww.usbr.gov/pn/grandcoulee/visit/gcvc.html\n\nWe will have a group dinner Saturday night and catch up on the day’s activities. \nOn Sunday we will head south on 97 thru the central Washington Teanaway Forest near CleElum.  Then it’s on to Ellensburg\, and thru the Toppenish Wildlife Refuge. From there it’s thru the Yakima Indian Reservation and on to Goldendale and The Dalles thru the spectacular Columbia River Gorge home. \nBooking a hotel for two nights is required. You can stay anywhere but Leavenworth city center is good idea. The following hotels are recommended and can be booked at www.leavenworth.org/ \n\nBavarian Lodge\nEnzian Inn\nHotel Pension Anna\nLinderhof Inn\nObertal Inn\n\nAct quickly to book your hotel accommodations. Weekends in September sell out and get more expensive the longer you wait. After your room is booked\, please register here. There is a fee of $30 per car for this drive. \nWe will have a mandatory Drivers’ Meeting at 9:00 AM to explain the route and safety rules and sign the waiver. We will head out shortly thereafter. \nPLEASE NOTE: \n\nAll *drivers* MUST be pre-registered online (by August 31st) and be a current BMW CCA member. No “Day Of” registration is allowed. And no “guest” drivers are allowed. \nYou do not need a separate registration for any passengers in your vehicle BUT all drivers AND passengers need to sign waivers. (see #4)\nRegistration is limited to 16 cars.\nALL DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS MUST SIGN A PAPER WAIVER WHICH WE WILL DO ON THE MORNING OF SEPTEMBER 22\, 2023.\nDrivers meeting is mandatory.\nThere is a fee of $30 per car for this driving tour.\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent requirements\n\nREMEMBER: \n\nYou need to book your own lodging accommodations for Friday September 22 and Saturday September 23\, 2023. You can stay anywhere but the city center of Leavenworth is recommended.\nThere are no registration refunds after August 31st\, 2023.\nA pre-trip inspection on you car is recommended as this is a 600+ mile journey.
