SUMMARY:Postponed until 2021 - Maryhill Loops Rally
DESCRIPTION:We regrettably announce that due to challenges with approval and insurance by CCA National for the Maryhill Loops Rally\, the Oregon Chapter will not be holding the event this year.  Hopefully\, we can regroup and find a way to bring it back in 2021. \nJoin us for our 11th Annual Maryhill Loops Rally on August 22 & 23! For current BMW CCA members only! \nEach day will accommodate approximately 25 drivers and will include lunch. \nRegistrants are initially limited to choosing either Saturday or Sunday for their ‘driving’ day but may have the opportunity to register for both days if space is still available one week prior to the event. We usually sell out before this! \nWe will also be offering a handful of discounted driving spots for members willing to volunteer to be course workers for the event on their non-driving day. This limited number of discounted spots will be offered to just 6 people on Saturday and 6 people on Sunday! So\, you could volunteer Saturday and drive Sunday or vice versa for a steeply discounted price! \nParticipants wishing to have overnight lodging near the event can contact either the Fairfield Inn & Suites in The Dalles\, Oregon (541) 769-0753 or the Quality Inn in Goldendale\, Washington (509) 773-5881. Each will have a block of rooms available at a discounted rate for attendees of this event (which typically go almost as fast as the event openings so don’t delay booking your room either!) \nThere will also be a dinner in the Dalles on Saturday night. Lunch at the event will be giant Subway sandwiches. \nMore info\, including a link to register\, will be shared in July.

SUMMARY:Sold Out Event - Mary's Peak Driving Tour
DESCRIPTION:Mary’s Peak Driving Tour \nSaturday\, August 15th\, 2020 9 am to 2 pm.  \nWe will meet at Salem BMW at 9 am where they will have coffee and breakfast treats.  Salem BMW is the sponsor of this drive and will have swag bags with goodies inside for each registered driver. \nAt around 9:45 am we will have a driver’s meeting and the first group will be off shortly thereafter.  \nMarys Peak\, at 4\,097 feet\, is the highest point in Oregon’s Coast Range and the most prominent peak to the west of Corvallis. On a clear day\, from Marys Peak Day Use at the top of the peak\, you can see both the Pacific Ocean to the west and many of the Cascade peaks to the east across the Willamette Valley. \nWe should arrive around 1 pm at the peak. Please plan on bringing a chair and picnic.  \nPLEASE NOTE: \n\nAll drivers MUST be pre-registered and a current BMWCCA member\nFace Masks are required while outside of vehicles during the event.\nDrivers and passengers must practice social distancing protocol at all times.\nALL DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS MUST SIGN THE ELECTRONIC WAIVER BEFORE THE EVENT\n\nWatch your email for details.

SUMMARY:Taste of Motorsports
DESCRIPTION:This is a community event (not hosted by BMWCCA). For more information\, please visit the event’s website: \nTASTE OF MOTORSPORTS \nHi Club members – \nWe have learned of many events being postponed or canceled; from historic international events such as Pebble Beach as well as established local events like Forest Grove. Hotels are closed\, stopping many planned tours and conventions in the Summer months. Tough times for us car people\, but also a good time to get those long-suffering projects done in the garage? \nWe wanted to make you aware of the Taste of Motorsports on Sunday\, August 30th out at Portland International Raceway. This will be our 3rd annual Taste of Motorsports and we are excited to tell you and your club members about the growth and diversity of the event. Falling at the very end of August has us hedging our bets and stepping on the loud pedal to pull off what might be the only high-end car event left on the West Coast.  We think people will be more than ready to get out and smell the octane. \nSo what is Taste of Motorsports?  We are a Track Day (PIR)\, Car show\, Gourmet Foodie automotive extravaganza.  We have vendors representing the best of the best in car-related services; such as detail\, paint protection\, restoration\, and customization shops.  We have local dealers bringing out high-performance offerings to show off and demo around the track.  Its only our 3rd event but we are planning to up the ante on our culinary offerings with a food theme this year; Cuisine of the Pacific Rim (Think Hawaiian Luau)! \nIn addition to the gourmet food and the opportunity to experience one of your favorite Sports Cars on the track\, you’ll be able to show your car at the Concours on the grassy area at PIR. Judging classes are being organized and while it is a Concours we’ll be looking at a judging system much like the Quail Lodge event in Monterey.  You won’t need to get out the Q-tips to detail your spark plugs or chrome u-joints. It will be a lot of fun and the trophies will be memorable! \nWe have 75 spots for the track day and only 75 spots for the Concours in order to meet the 250 people maximum for this event.
