SUMMARY:Portland Vintage Racing Festival
DESCRIPTION:One of the premier events on our Club’s calendar is the Portland Vintage Racing Festival. Formerly the Portland Historic Races\, this festival weekend gives our club the chance to show our cars and club to the masses. From Friday\, July 8th to Sunday\, July 10th Portland Int’l Raceway will welcome all car clubs in the region to setup corrals and watch the SVRA racers compete. \nThe SIG group promotes this event to bring out as many BMWs from the past to the present as possible.  On Saturday and Sunday we will have a free BBQ for our members. Don’t forget to sign up for the parade lap around PIR.  On Saturday and Sunday\, all registrants will be able to drive on the racetrack! Sign up early. We are only allowed 25 cars per day. \nJaguar is the title sponsor again this year and they plan on bringing their cars for a test drive on the autocross lot. You do not want to miss driving these amazing cars. More details will follow in the weeks ahead. \nSVRA is honoring Formula racing cars this year. This Formula Festival provides various racing opportunities to honor cars such as Formula 1\, Formula 5000\, Formula B\, Formula Ford\, Formula Vee and Formula Junior from the 1950-70s. As a special treat this year we will have two Grand Marshals – Al Unser and Al Unser Jr. \nThe whole weekend for one car\, two people\, and parking pass in our corral is still just $45.
