SUMMARY:Oregon Coast Driving Tour
DESCRIPTION:NOTE: This event is for current BMW CCA members only. And is limited to 40 cars.\n\nCoast Tour Summer 2021 \nThis year’s 2021 drive to the coast will be great for family or friends to attend as your passengers! Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirts for fun. We will drive through winding roads via wine country and forests with the drive ending in Seaside\, OR.  There are lots of great restaurants to choose from for lunch after the drive ends. \nWe will meet in Wilsonville at the Starbucks (by Sonic) starting around 7:30am. There will be two drivers’ meetings\, one for early risers at 8:00am and then a second meeting at 8:45am\, as we will stagger the departures. \nStarting in Wilsonville\, we will go through Timber and end in Seaside after ≈140 miles.  As usual\, many great roads and turns await you during this journey! \nWe will have the first of two DRIVER’S meeting at 8:00 AM\, with the first group of cars going out immediately afterwards.  The second drivers’ meeting at 8:45am with the last group going out Before 9:00am. \nPLEASE READ: \n1. All drivers MUST be pre-registered online and be a current BMW CCA member at the time of registration AND the day of the Drive. Passengers do NOT need a separate registration. \n2. Face Masks are encouraged for the unvaccinated while outside of vehicles during the event. \n3. Drivers and passengers should stay with their cars until registration is complete. \n4. All drivers AND passengers MUST sign the electronic waiver prior to the event. \n5. Registration is limited to 40 cars. \n6. Drivers meeting is mandatory. \n7. Restaurants have rules/regulations for COVID safety. DESCRIPTION:Calling All BMW Owners! \nMark your calendars for Sunday\, Aug. 29\, 2021\, for the 12th-annual BMW Northwest MotorFest\, Oregon’s largest BMW festival\, presented by the Oregon/SW Washington Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America. For the second year\, the MotorFest will be held on a stunning\, tree-lined lawn of a 20-acre private residence in Silverton\, Oregon. MotorFest12 is open to all BMW owners\, club members and non-members alike. \nPack your coolers with your favorite food and beverage for the bring-your-own-picnic-style (BYOP) format\, grab your lawn chairs & picnic blankets\, and settle into the MotorFest vibe\, as you reconnect with friends old and new and admire the amazing collection of BMWs\, from classic to contemporary. The location of this year’s celebration again allows for BMWs of all years\, models\, and styles to be parked beneath generous shade trees around the property\, adding another level of cool to the unique and eclectic mix of Bavaria’s finest motorcars. This year’s featured car corral will showcase the crowd-favorite e30 model: 3-series cars from 1982 to 1994. \nWith a variety of music\, a vendor row featuring many of our sponsors\, and the highly anticipated BMW Oregon CCA charity raffle\, MotorFest12 is the must-attend BMW event of the year. For 2021\, the Oregon Chapter of the BMW CCA is proud to partner with Helping Hands Reentry Outreach Centers as its charity beneficiary. \nThis year’s featured sponsors include BMW of Salem\, Boyd Motor Werks\, Heel & Toe Apparel\, & WheelKraft NW. For $1 per ticket (or 25 tickets for $20)\, you will have a chance to win amazing raffle items\, such as complete car detailing from BMW of Salem\, a Valentine V1 Gen2 radar detector\, JBL Flip 5 Bluetooth speaker\, a GPS unit\, a GoPro Hero9 Black\, and a two-hour TopGolf group event. \nThe day will begin with a meetup from 9 to 10:30am at BMW of Salem\, 1151 Van Ness Ave NE in Salem\, Oregon. Coffee and breakfast pastries will be provided by our good friends at BMW of Salem. An easy\, self-guided drive through the rolling hills and farmlands of the Willamette Valley to the MotorFest site will start around 10 a.m.\, with an anticipated arrival time of 11 a.m. at MotorFest12. Those unable to join the group drive can to go directly to the MotorFest site for an 11am arrival & check-in. The address in Silverton to MotorFest will be provided to all registrants via email a few days before the event\, as well as in the route map provided at BMW of Salem on the day of the event. \nAnd returning to this year’s MotorFest will be WheelKraft NW who will be on site with their fleet of mobile wheel repair vehicles to take care of your unintended wheel scuffs!
