SUMMARY:MotorFest 8
DESCRIPTION:Make plans now for Saturday\, September 9\, to join the BMW Car Club of America Oregon Chapter¹s signature event of the year\, MotorFest 8. This year¹s MotorFest will be held on a private grass venue\, along the shores of beautiful Mint Lake in Yacolt Washington\, a short drive north of Vancouver. Please note\, due to waterski activities\, pets and people are not permitted to swim in the lake. \nThe day begins with another epic MotorFest road tour to the private MotorFest lakeside venue.  Two starting points will be offered for this year’s tours.  Both tours will be self-guided\, with accurate and detailed route sheets provided at the morning driver’s meeting.  Please feel free bring a two-way radio\, along with your passenger/navigator\, to help guide you along the scenic route through southwest Washington. \nThe Portland groups will depart from Jubitz\, located at 10210 N Vancouver Way\, Portland\, OR 97217.  Suggested arrival time is 9:15am for check in with Tour Organizer\, Tom Freedman. Cars will begin departing at 9:45 for the 40 mile twisty and scenic tour to the lake. \nThe Washougal group start\, previously at Starbuck’s\, has been moved to Bagley Park\, 4607 Plomondon St\, Vancouver\, WA 98661. (This was changed to avoid any lingering problems from traffic congestion on WA Hwy 14). The entrance to the parking area we’ll use is at the corner of Plomdon St. and Caples Ave.  Arrive by 9:15 for check in with Chapter President Buck Bailey\, with departures at 9:45. \nFor cars not on the tour but coming directly to the lake\, check-in will open at 11am.  The address for MotorFest is 16321 NE 379th St. Yacolt\, WA.  The address is for a private residential property adjacent to the lake\, look for the MotorFest signs for the entry to the park. \nUpon arrival and check in\, cars will be parked by classification\, followed by a people’s choice car show with 7 different car class awards\, music and entertainment by Pro DJs\, and our world class BMW CCA Oregon Chapter raffle with incredible prizes. A $15.00 per car entry fee will get you into the lakeside venue. This year’s feature car is the incomparable 2002\, the car that created the worldwide BMW car club culture. \nA no-host lunch will be brought to you by KOI Fusion of Portland. Lunch will be available for purchase\, and will include KOI’s highly acclaimed burrito bowl with your choice of beef\, chicken or tofu.  Northwest craft beer and local wine will be available for purchase for those over the age of 21 with a valid ID. You can purchase your lunch and drink tickets when you register online or at the venue. \nPlease note: bring cash! We will have a Square card reader to process debit and credit card purchases\, but weak cellular signal may cause slow processing times. Cash will be faster. \nMotorFest is our chapter’s annual fund raising event for charity\, and this year we will be giving to the Oregon Food Bank\, serving the Portland and Southwest Washington region. $5 of your entry will go directly to the Oregon Food Bank\, and every $5 we collect provides 15 meals for our neighbors in need. \nRegistration is NOW OPEN on Motorsportreg.com! Click the button or link below to register for the Drive to the Lake and/or entry to the venue.  The event site will open at 11:00 am for those not participating in the Drive to the Lake\, and directions will be emailed to all registrants prior to the event. \nMotorFest 8 promises to be our best yet. Don’t miss out on our annual signature BMW CCA Oregon Chapter event! \n  \n \n Register

SUMMARY:Women's Wine and Tech Day
DESCRIPTION:It is not often that the women in our club get an exclusive Ladies Only event to enjoy two favorite pastimes; BMWs and tasting some of the best Oregon wines! \nThe BMW CCA Oregon chapter invites the women of our club to the first Women’s Wine and Tech Day. It will give you a chance to ask all the questions you may have about your BMW and how it works. After our time at BMW of Salem\, we will top it off with wine tasting at Willamette Valley Vineyards! \nWe will begin at the BMW of Salem showroom at 10:00 AM with coffee and snacks. Then we’ll move into the tech area where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and see demonstrations from a master technician at BMW of Salem. \nHere is a note from BMW Salem’s general manager\, Jonathan Taylor… \nBMW of Salem will have several Master technicians here to answer any questions you might have about your car\, in addition to having several examples of vehicles in the shop so we can go over various items on\, in and under a BMW. We will also have our BMW product genius\, Aaron\, here to answer any questions about features and technology on our cars. \nWe will be serving coffee and snacks from one of our partners here in town\, Ike Box. \nAt around noon we will depart for a short drive to Willamette Valley Vineyards where our host Wende Bennette has arranged a wonderful wine experience. Here is a word from Wende… \nWillamette Valley Vineyards is proud to host BMW’s women tech day! We will be serving award winning wines with light hors d’oeuvres while we all enjoy a lovely afternoon in the vineyard.  \nFollowing the wine tasting\, you may want to stay a bit longer and enjoy a late lunch at their wonderful Willamette Vineyards restaurant or explore the Winery. \nSpace is very limited so register soon! You may also invite your non-BMW CCA lady friends. BMW CCA women members (or female spouses of a member) are free for this event once registered. Women Guests and non-members are $10.00 a person. Registration is required. \n  \n \n Register
