SUMMARY:Spring Desert Tour
DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to enjoy driving on fantastic roads in Central Oregon? Now you have an opportunity by attending the first BMW CCA Oregon Chapter tour around Bend! \nTim Morris\, owner of German Master Tech\, has designed a tour that will highlight some of the best roads around Bend. With swooping curves\, canyon roads\, the natural beauty of the Central Oregon desert\, and magnificent views along the way\, it will be a drivers’ dream. Tim has designed and run several tours for the Oregon Festival of Cars so he knows the roads very well. \nDrive over to Bend on Friday afternoon or evening and stay overnight in one of the hotels near or in the Old Mill District. Several options are available to you. Tim’s suggestions: \n\nBends Best: The Oxford Hotel is top rated and very nice in the heart of down town.\nThe Riverhouse (Currents Restaurant) is nice and the Shilo is right next door\, both are a short distance from the shop.\nThe Old Mill District has 3 very nice standard hotels\, which are within walking distance to the Mill District shopping and restaurants:\n\nHampton Inn\nHilton Garden\nDouble Tree\nNice & cozy is the Pine Ridge inn\n\n\n\nOn Saturday morning\, meet at Tim’s shop by 9 AM. He will have coffee and donuts for us to enjoy. Look around his shop\, it’s a fantastic place! His shop provides maintenance and restoration of BMW’s\, Mercedes\, and Porsche’s. It’s the best shop for German cars in Bend. Several cars restored at Tim’s shop have won best in class awards at the Forest Grove Concours de’Elegance and Legends of the Autobahn for example. \n \nWe will depart around 9:30 to start the tour. The route will take us through Crooked River Gorge with a half way stop at the Prineville Reservoir Marina. We will continue through the desert to a park in Prineville where we will have a picnic lunch. You can pick up items for the picnic in Bend at the Newport Market or the Market of Choice in Bend. Or you can pick up items in Prineville. After lunch\, we will depart Prineville and continue on great roads around Sisters and the Lower Ridge area. Our final destination is back to Tim’s shop. \nYou can either depart for home or stay Saturday night in Bend. For those who stay overnight\, you can join the group for dinner and/or breakfast on Sunday before departing. Tim has several recommended restaurants for us to choose from. \n				Register Now

SUMMARY:Rogue River Tour and Jet Boat Experience
DESCRIPTION:There is still time to sign up!  Members Len Atlas and Florin Baldridge have mapped out a beautiful drive through the Rogue River Valley\, and an optional Jet Boat river adventure with dinner from Hellgate Excursions. \nThe Drive \nWe will begin the day with a drive through a very scenic part of the Rogue Valley covering about 120 miles. We begin at about 10:30 AM on Saturday June 16th in the parking lot of the Redwood Hyperion Suites in Grants Pass. We’ll meet back at the hotel around 3:00 PM in time for the Jet Boat excursion\, just next door to the hotel. \nOptional Jet Boat Excursion \nThis optional 4-hour\, 36-mile round trip through Hellgate Canyon stops downriver at the guest-exclusive OK Corral. Perched high above the Rogue River\, the OK Corral is an old homestead where we’ll enjoy an all-you-can-eat country dining experience. The table will be set platters of country-style barbecued ribs and chicken\, ranch style potatoes\, biscuits\, cornbread\, and more. Topped off with dessert and accompanied by beer\, wine\, iced tea\, lemonade\, coffee and hot tea\, soon you’ll be crying “enough!” \nThe jet boat excursion is $70.00 per person\, includes dinner and a $2 service fee.
