SUMMARY:2025 Covered Bridges Drive Tour - BMW of Salem
DESCRIPTION:please register here!\nThe Covered Bridges Drive is a member favorite year after year. If you have never been on a covered bridges drive\, you must go. We drive over these brilliantly restored wonders of woodwork. This year we will return to where it all started in beautiful Linn and Marion Counties. Oregon has around 50 covered bridges and most are restored and maintained for car crossing. Others are in parks for pedestrian crossings. \nOn Saturday July 12th\, we will drive over 5 of Oregon’s historic covered bridges. This is a leasurly drive through farm lands and charming small towns reminiscent of an earlier era. Along the way\, we will crest a ridge or two and see sweeping views of the Willamette Valley. \nMeet up with us at BMW Salem at 9:00AM. Take a look at all the new BMW’s in their showroom. A mandatory drivers meeting will be held at 9:30AM where we will talk about the drive. Driving groups will be formed and we will depart in stages. We will return to Kaizer Station just north of Salem where there are numerous choices for lunch. \nNote: There is one bathroom break on this drive and it has vault toilets about 1:10 into the drive. \nThe Driver’s Meeting is mandatory and starts at 9:30 AM to explain the route and safety rules. We will head out shortly thereafter. \nPLEASE NOTE: \n\nAll *drivers* MUST be pre-registered online and be a current BMW CCA member. No “Day Of” registration is allowed. And no “guest” drivers are allowed. \nYou do not need a separate registration for any passengers in your vehicle BUT all drivers AND passengers need to sign the online waiver prior to the event. (see #4)\nRegistration is limited to 45 cars.\nALL DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS MUST SIGN THE WAIVER PRIOR TO THE EVENT. WHICH IS SEPERATE FROM THE REGISTRATION FOR THE EVENT. THERE IS A LINK TO IT AFTER YOU FINISH REGISTERING FOR THE DRIVE.\nDrivers and passengers should stay with their cars until check-in is complete.\nDrivers meeting is mandatory.
